I was reading on a thread that some teams are actually putting some work in on their home pitches, do you think this will improve the league as a whole.

 

do you all think some sides blatantly keep dodgy pitches as a leveller?

I went to Redhill saturday, they opened their new stand. You can tell its new, and how it was delivered because the ruts are still there from where the lorry reversed onto the pitch. If you've drawn redhill away dont play right back or left wing.

do you mean meadowbank jr, i was recently told it was in the best condition its been in for years, the club sensibly avoided friendlies there til now, and have done a fair amount of work on it.

 

i hope that is rewarded through the season and the weather is kind to it.

Colliers Wood is always good. The guy there puts some effort into it. Windsor have invested in their pitch over the last couple of years so Bedfont Green should have a decent surface.

Think Cobhams will be good this season as someone is working on it properly which hasn't always been the case in past years.

Best drainage in the CCL, so just need to keep a good covering of grass on it.

NGU's is by far the best surface, shame it's so narrow and on the slope

Ash isnt to bad, a few dibbits here and there but on the whole its in okay condition for the opening home league game against Sandhurst a week today.

standards definately improving. Bedfont green spent 40k on Vikings ground for reserves. Windsor is one of better pitches in league

Windsor pitch played very nice tonight, a good 2-1 win for BG

can confirm that our pitch at Westfield is amongst the best in the CCL's and also the floodlights take some beating too

nigel what's the chances of going up this year?

well starting to look good on the pitch- considering 3 weeks ago we barely had a club as many people decided to move on we had to build from scratch. We've remained unbeaten all pre season and last night beat Ashford Town(middsx)res 2-0. Some of the football we played first half was breathtaking and if that can be repeated more often than not this season we should be amongst the 6 or so teams that make a decent challenge.
