A declared bankrupt and a property developer in charge of a football club continually making empty promises, hhhmmmm? Perhaps it's all because as he declared it's because he can't use a computer-there's probably loads of sponsership offers and the go ahead for the stadium building all sitting in his e mail inbox-it's just that he can't access them, that's all it'll be.

I hope people are more careful what they post re Keith and try and get facts right, thanks to Tony for pointing out Keith is nothing to do with the window people and never has been.

 

At the end of the day people who post on here had the ideal opportunity to quiz Keith re finances, shares etc at the open meeting he called for fans and what happened, nobody who posted things on here turned up!

 

I too would love to see things moving re sponsorship, ground etc but I know these things can take time and anything announced to opremature can have a serious effect.

People are moaning at Piper about this when in actual fact it was Colin Page who said there will be news on a sponser in the next few weeks. This was said at the first open meeting.

 

Page did also say that we were on the verge of agreeing terms with a company, so my guess is that it all fell through and we can't find another company to sponser us at the moment.

 

But is the clubs fault or is it the fact that local businesses cannot afford to sponser us because of the credit crunch. Even Active signs are struggling and have had to let people go.

Everyone else can find sponsOrs, clubs announcing record deals etc.

Rob how long were the club in talks with the companies from start to finish.

 

Had the same situation years ago when shirt sponsorship first happened when we were in talks with P and O liners. After six weeks they decided the idea was not for them and we had to start all over again.

 

Not an easy thing to do nor a one day decision.
