According to the king of bullsh!t Mr.Piper said yonks ago that an announcement was to be made shortly along with news of the stadium build and us mugs thought that just maybe there'd be an announcement shortly. Watch out for the freezing over of hell first though!

Having said that an announcement would be made within a month of the last meeting (about 6 weeks overdue now),i do agree that something should be said.-even it is a 'no news' statement.

Given that-it cannot be easy at the moment as the credit crunch bites and companies will be wary of investment in both local sponsorship and major building/funding programmes.I am sure the credit crunch will be having an effect on this unfortunately.maybe a bit of slack should be given here-though a promised update should imo be forthcoming from the club

Againthough, what is conspicable by its abscence throughout the summer, is any local promotion of the club by MFC-small time shirt sponsorship, sponsor a goal and all the little things that a supporter can do as a one off ,and that together all add up.We have no funds, but apart from MISA efforts, the club does not seem to endeavour to promote itself

why bother if MISA are doing it for them and get your scarfs out for the winter period . Nothing will change with the club as regards to promoting themselves , its mad they must be losing out on so much money . I know there is a crunch at the mo and probably 60% of the nation are feeling it but there are ways and means of putting the name of the club around without it being costly to the board . I thought that SPECULATE to ACUMULATE would be a good thing obviously not .Up the Gate and well done to MISA for all there outstanding work they do .

I'll second that GT. Appearances can be deceiving but then why change the habit of a lifetime?!!! The occasional snippet on the MFC web-site would be nice but I suppose that's just too much to ask?

Have just recieved a flyer through the door for Croydon Athletic. They have always suffered from poor attendances (less than 100)and have produced this to get support. It is four page glossy flyer about the club. On it is a voucher for their first home game against Horsham which gives FREE admission and any drink for

Looks like certain people are taking notice of my two "Piper" posts of a few weeks ago. I'll be posting another "unresolved issues" post once the season is underway. Let's hope for a good start.

Mr. Piper will also be having ongoing concerns with his window business. The current financial squeeze will be putting untold pressure on him and his disposable/investable income.I've seen him 2 or 3 times at the friendlies and he looks a worried man to me. I could be wrong of course, as my wife often reminds me and assures me that I geneally am,so I could be reading too much into things. He may also be independantly wealthy and not rely on any other income stream................??.................anyone know any more please?

Blimey-you may light the blue touch paper with certain people with that post Ronks .

I have alot of sympathy and empathy with anyone endeavouring to run a business at the moment-its not easy out there for anyone-and wish mr Piper well.

Lol....sorry , I didnt mean to start anything. I just joined in the debate with my poor knowledge of the structure and background of the ownership and shares etc. Investment can come from anywhere and I wondered if Mr. Piper had the lions share and ultimate responsibility with the funding both now and in the past. With the size and reputation of his company he will undoubtidly survive any downturn as will many others in that sector. But there are noticable financial constraints on the management at the club and I simply need to know if Piper has the ALL the purses and strings. If so it will add to any existing pressures he may be under. My apologies in advance for potentially having caused any extra concerns and worries to all readers of this thread.
