Lets hope with the reduced price we get a good crowd down.

Has to be a good idea, many fans as well as groundhoppers feel aggrieved to get ripped off by paying the same or even more than league games. Windsor being an example on saturday.

Slough line up was:

Beames, Harper, Mcgonigle, Fenton, Pearson, Dickens, Pritchard, Riddell, Jordan, Platt, Gray

Subs: Jackson, Gumbs, Roberts and Attrell (all used) - possibly more but I missed some of the game.

Yes Im afraid I have to agree with Danny-Da-Bass it was very much a 2nd string side that played.

However good luck for the season.

There was a glaryingly obvious gap in quality between the two sides, which was quite alarming when one of their fans confirmed that it was essentially their reserve side, but to be fair we are three (four?) tiers below them in the pyramid and a similar percentage gap exists between most leagues right through to the Premier League!

personally I could see a huge improvement in Sloughs forward play from last season, and I think we will create, and hopefully put away, a lot of chances against sides of at our level...however the defense, especially on the right hand side looks a tad shaky to say the least.

Still, I think we shouldn't be too downhearted, as SB are a very good side (well their reserves are at least) and I am mildly optomistic that we will at least avoid a relegation battle this season.

Not sure which two players the Stevenage boys would put in the side but one of the players on show last night was Lee Boylan who has played for Canvey in the past. I think he scored five including four in nine minutes in the first half after Slough had taken the lead with an excellent strike by DJ.

In the final third Boro looked very strong and that was the area that featured their most recognisable players.
