despite the efforts of dean Standen ,i read that we failed to top this league last season-not sure where we did finish ,but it was not top (top being 'worse' )

 

Did we have a suspended fine hanging over us from the previous season ?

 

This season, it must be key that we do not lose what payers we have through NEEDLESS suspensions and bookings.Play it tough just the same-but no backchat and stupid bookings is what i reckon as ref never changes his mind

That may not be that easy as we have a passionate manager,and one or two players who also like to be heard it seems-Hickman ?

Ashby's behaviour was fairly puerile yesterday (the ref made a bad decision on a foul but that is no excuse). We haven't got the biggest squad and an example needs to be set otherwise the bookings and suspensions will pile up.

 

And let's not have any of this nonsense about 'passion' - managers rant at refs in an attempt to intimidate and sway their decisions. It's a form of cheating. The Wards' behaviour is often disgusting, we don't need our own version at Hartsdown.

Well Mr Ashby sat with us in the second half. His language was exlempary (not even 1 b1oody) as for the ref he was the biggest to$$er trying to make a name for himself.

 

Anyway (as AB will probally vouch) if an expletive had come from Mr Ashby he would have been clouted by Lesley & Val. Infact Val commented afterwards what a well mannered invidual he was.

There is talk in the NLP that managers who are sent off this season will not be allowed in the stand or anywhere where they can see the game. I am hoping BA can restrain from getting into too much trouble. I still believe we failed to get promoted two seasons ago due to our poor disciplinary record at the latter end of the season, and thought that RT failed to stamp it out.
