Crickets not boring, the only thing thats boring are the people who keep telling you its boring, as most of them have never been to a first class cricket match in their life.

Cricket is great. Theres no rush to do anything , you can chill and soak in the sun , have a beer. Bite to eat and then take a leisurely journey home.

Many County Cricket grounds let you in free after 4pm and you can see some quite enjoyable late evening spin bowling , run chases and so on.

A few years back I was in Chelmsford and picked up the last 12 overs of the fourth day of a county game. Yorkshire ( I think )needed 36 to win but essex had em pinned down with 6 wickets taken. Sun was low and it was awesoem to watch tight slips and two bowlers trying to get enough runs to win or at least bat for a draw. Two wickets on the last over gave the match to essex. the beer was cold , nice meal on way home. Excellant

Beats arguning on a forum.

So why did you keep going to games if it was boring?

Who's argueing, just a difference of opinion, surely?
So its not cricket thats boring, its just some of the players who play it. Im not argueing, im just trying to see where your coming from.I cant remember any of the great kent team of the 70s just padding the ball away.

Looking forward to a boring day watching Kent thrash the other team. Sorry can't mention their name. David. I'm in the Upper Grand Stand. Row K Seat 87. Not sure where the nearest bar is! And my ticket says no spectator to bring more than two pints of beer into the ground! Will they do blood/alcohol checks?

No Jeff, the Americans can't see the point in playing a game for five days, let alone it ending in a draw!
Limited over cricket hasn't arrived(as far as I know) either!

famous last words...

missed blowers on TMS today as was watching on the tv, nicely poised after the end of day 1, as for the kent game, 116 for 8 with tredwell and van jaarsveld still at the crease, a belting morning of cricket ahead.

Row 10 compton stand, dont know seat numbers, unfortunately going with a dartford fan...
