why do so many clubs and people think its the local councils duty to help football clubs?

 

rugby and cricket clubs tend to do better than some local pyramid football clubs because they have more sides, they have loyalty from local players and helpers.

 

they have youth set ups vet sides etc.

 

but football, 16 mercenary players, 30 people watching and a three man committee.

Saying that Duncs, when Camberley RFC were flying in the National league the council stuffed em. I think its to many busy bodys that complain about crisp wrappers on their lawns when other areas in this land think guns are common place. Lucky to be round here and they should support the clubs as they give the youngsters teams to play for. Winds me up 'Erm your floodlights light up my back garden at night' Do you sleep in your garden? and you must be a kent, in bed by 9.30!!!

Is that not Liam O'Leary playing for chertsey?? Went down to Egham with Webby and then moved accross when he left.

you are completely missing the point TSF like the Local rugby and Cricket club we also provide sporting facilities and a service to the general public,now we have also been supplying that service for about the same time span have you ever been to Camberley Cricket club it's like fecking lords and Frimley Green football club is like a (sorry SL) fecking sh1t hole,same council and don' ask about the fecking Rugby team

i dont think i miss the point but i dont know the details in your area, duncs.

 

how many sides and members does camberley cc have and how many do frimley fc have? what does the council do for the cricket and rugby clubs in their area they dont do for the football clubs?

 

Guildford fc for example think the council should get them a ground sorted in the borough. Why? they had one and flogged it. As have several.

 

Lower Pyramid Football clubs in general dont cater for enough people, players supporters members etc to warrant council expenditure.

The better ones organise themselves and get on with it.

no thats "we're allrght feck you" syndrom, I'm not sure how many teams or players/members either of these clubs have, Fiml;ey Green have hundreds I do know, and why shouldn't the councils supply us all with decent facilities haven't you seen theirs, all state of the art buildings with heated fecking bog seats and chouffers to pick them up from the kenting pubs,do you think that the money they have wasted like the millions on the road to nowhere could have been earmarked for something more meaningful like health/sporting facilities in general.
