PB in my exsperience if you have 20 very good players at any club you will end up with 11 (very good players)after the first few games, the secret is not to piss on the people you need to fill in around those 'very good' players, because you will get injuries and suspensions as we all will and then it will come down to squad strength.very good players will not sit on the bench or play reserve team football, unfortunately there are lots of clubs with huge budgets in this league and your spare 9 players will soon dissapear, so look after the other not so very good players as they will become vital in my opinion

Chertsey beat Knaphill 8-1 on Sat.

Review from Knaphill Website was:

"The 1st Team were comprehensively beaten 8-1 by C.C.L Premier Division opposition Chertsey Town at Redding Way on Saturday. The Knappers were on the end of some fantastic football from there visitors with slick passing, movement and clinical finishing however Knaphill overall did not play that badly despite the scoreline."

Darren Dobbinson 2, John Hamsher 2, Gavin Bolger, Lee O'leary, Luke Muldowney & Wayne Noad Scorers for Chertsey

I feel sorry for you SL nothing has changed since I left, there seems to be an unwillingness to help from Surrey heath council, we had a bloody good team down there 3 seasons ago and several players from that team have stayed in the ccl prem and a couple have moved up a step or two,our ressies played at Hanworth Villa on saturday and I must say what a great settup they are putting in place, new pitch, new stand and new floodlights very impressive. Its a real problem at the Green but who will listen if you were a senior Rugby or Cricket team I don't think you would have so many problems.
