I spent part of the weekend looking at some of the more professional comments on the case in the more up-market papers.

 

The reason I'm now totally convinced that the murder was a professional hit is because it was executed, (if you'll pardon the expression), quickly and calmly. Less than 45 seconds and done so in a manner to ensure almost immediate death. Most gang-land hits are carried out by two indivduals on a motorbike, so who ever murdered Jill did so cooly and calmly.

 

There was one snippet in one of the papers from one of the policemen who had dealt with BG in the past. To sum up, he was convinced that BG was certainly several spanners short of a tool-box in the intelligence stakes, and certainly not capable of carring out the murder, let alone managing to get hold of the gun AND the specialist modified ammunition used.

What was the flimsy evidence against Barry George ?

 

As I remember..... A speck of gunpowder in his pocket ,Which suggested he had at some point had a gun in his jacket pocket , He was in the Area at the time of Jill's murder , He tried to get people to lie about his whereabouts at the time of the 11.30 am shooting . He's the local oddball/Geek who has a problem with celeb women .Several Newspaper cuttings of Jill were found in his flat .

 

I think thats the evidence that convicted him first time around .....He may have done it who knows ? But his lack of intellect is quite apparent ,Murderers that lack intellect leave big clues ,If Barry George did do it THEN HE GOT VERY LUCKY .

the profile of BG is all wrong compared with the killers actions tho' isn't it....a lonely slathering groper who pestered women and forced his attentions on them....he raped a drunken woman in a passageway after pestering her for an hour..he tried to grope and kiss a friends wife as she was asleep...he dressed in a gas mask and tried to break into kensington palace with a rope in full view of security officers and wasn't even charged for it...he brought himself to the attention of every law enforcement officer in the west end and told anyone who would listen that he was freddie mercury's brother/cousin/aunt...

 

in short he was a lonely misfit who became a serious pest and a stalker of and molester of women ...well known to the police as such and always under the watchful eye of the local CID...

 

the killer had an expensive automatic gun with a silencer and modified ammunition designed to kill instantly....he calmly walked up to dando..shot her at point blank range and then walked away...!!

I was absolutely disgusted to read yesterday that Sion Jenkins, who was aquitted of killing his foster daughter Billie Jo, had made contact with Barry George to congratulate him on his release. I strongly believe that Jenkins was guilty of murdering Billie Jo in February 1997 just as I still believe George was guilty as originally charged, I think there should be a total overhaul of the British Justice system as two murderers are arguably roaming the streets of London and Swansea respectively.
