We may only squeeze a win because Brentwood are no mugs and i saw them play once last season and they can put some nice moves together and they have quite a strong back line which is difficult to break down. Unless the game i saw was a one off!

This is where pre-season starts to get interesting for me, (hopefully) we'll have ditched those triallists that are surplus to requirements so we can start fine-tuning the squad and team ahead of the start of the season.

 

Personally I'd be looking to start the game with a side close to that which would be in my mind for the trip to Staines and try and give as many players as possible 90 minutes.

 

Still not worried about results in pre-season, but I would like to see a better defensive display tomorrow. For that reason, and because I think we might utilise the tactics against Staines, I would go 4-3-3 with Henry joining Shave and Hunter in the midfield 3, and 3 from Flack, BWG, Ferguson and Wareham up front.

I agree with Simon, this is where it gets interesting. Today, we'll see the foundation on how we're going to shape up for the league campaign. 4-3-3 is a good shout for Staines ad it'll be good to see who our midfield 3 will be. We have so many options up front that the combinations are almost endless...And IMO, I would like to see a tighter performance from the back four than what was shown over the past week.

 

Overall we have loads of options...
