This made me laugh

An interesting topic which is being hotly debated on the AFC Sudbury Forum. The consensus is that AFC Sudbury are morally wrong. Why should concession eligibility be gender specific? I am sure if the boot were on the other foot the bra burners would be yelling 'foul' from the treetops!

My point is and would be if your a retired person then your are a concession, If your a working person and not retried then your not. Police or not nurse, doctor, bricklayer still being paid and working hello 60 is the new 50. grin

Hello when I am 60 I wont be shouting it from the roof tops (I will be glad to pay full price) I have only just stopped being asked for ID to drink grin

Working or not, men can claim a bus pass at 60.

I think you'll find that Sudbury could be in trouble over this, if they persist in age-ism !

As a newcomer to your posts Sid, this feels slightly Rhodes-ish. Especially the last sentence grin

Hi Darter. Sorry I don't understand the reference to "Rhodes" - but strange as it may seem I did work for a Company called "Rhodes" about 25 years ago. I post less frequently on here now mainly because I am hopeless at 'banter' (and there will be a queue of people a mile long who will agree biggrin1 ). My point was not that there should or should not be 'concessions' but that if there were then the qualifying age should be the same for males and females.
