thought I'd have a post on the footie after several pre season games now (still not got all the newbie names but no matter)

 

last night was a real bridge night...bar full...restaurant full...great game of football on the superb emerald green carpet under the lights and a half decent crowd on a thursday night..always nice to see Martin and his team down at the bridge and many thanks to LO for putting themselves out for the away game

 

some of the football from the highly rated youngsters of orient was superb and their running off the ball was top notch...mind you we were pretty good ourselves and really should have scored more goals in the second half and lee hodges was a treat to watch last night...if he plays like that for 70 minutes each game this season we will score a lot of goals...he's into everything and behind most things that materialise for our attacks...parks should have had a hat trick but his single goal was pure class finishing from nothing really as he was surrounded by defenders..thought all of the boys played a part and some of dessies touches in the second half were sublime

 

I like the look of our team as it shapes up and I think we can look forward to a good season with no predictions... just optimistic..

Spot on, Unc. Lee Hodges looked great and his free kick was worthy of a goal. Some sharper finishing (which will come) and we would have been out of reach by half time.

I hope these pre-season games against the O's become an Urchin tradition as last year's game was a very watchable match too.

By the way, you looked very disco when you were strutting your stuff on the pitch at half-time! Quite the best dressed groundsman in the Ryman League!

Rather fab as Max was playing Disco Inferno - I thought you were the flashiest groundsman ever - should have struck the Travolta pose in the centre circle!
