I am sorry to say but we have a full restaurant tomorrow night for the LO game and having lost our restaurant/bar manageress this week nette has sequestered my services this evening for table layouts and general dogsboddying whilst she preps...

 

I have been into SR today on my way back from TW and handed the loot over to the lovely rachael to pass onto RS in the fleet trust hut...must say the pitch looked superb and the old ground very tidy and spruce...

 

I don't think david was around but I did hear someone whisper from behind a door...

I love football grounds and football pitches harry and the place was deserted today except for the girls in the office...I could have sat all day and listened to the ghosts of yesteryear and gazed across the lovely playing surface as it was watered this afternoon...I've worked on ours all summer and its superb but so was yours today....

I'll get there this year it just wasn't possible today...

Shame you couldn't make it Karl. Score aside, you missed another really good atmosphere down the Road. Again, as has been the way for the last 9 months, I met a good few new/old fans that I've not met before, had a great time and maybe (just maybe) drunk a little.

Forums may be what they be, but everyone's welcomed at the ground. We are now an internationally supported team, but the downside of that is that many members can't get to Stonebridge road, which is a shame.
Events that erupt into a row over nothing would be sorted in a matter on minutes face to face. I'm sure of that.
Fortunately, there are a few that can, and their input has been second to none these past few months.

I genuinely would have liked to have met you tonight. I'm sure we'd have had loads to go on about, and if you cant get to us this season, I'm sure we'll get to you.

You should come down to a cold tuesday night game when there is champions league on the tell UU, thats when we need every extra bit of support we can get.
