...that now have a week of Gash puns (yes I know it's such an easy target) can we knock them on the head? Having read (and heard on Saturday) about 50 variations on the innuendo theme it gets a bit boring although I am sure that most 11 year old boys could be entertained for months by them.

 

It's going to be bad enough having "Big Gash" sung all season without all the other variations!!

 

Having said that I hope the rumours about "Big" John not wanting to play are untrue. I think both "Bigs" up front might scare a few defences. (Stone looks class but the jury is still out on Shakes for me).

 

Does anyone know the inside re Akinde...? Rumours please.

John Akinde was at the Final on Saturday and when I we arrived at 1.40pm, he was running up and down the pitch, it looked like he was undergoing a fitness test, which I assume he failed.

...yes I saw him sat with the rest of the lads who were not playing. It will be interesting to see if he makes it for the Wednesday game v Millwall...It seems odd that there is not much "injury" information about him. At least we can assume it's not a gash...opps sorry!
