Prediction League "NEW" Second Chance

I will be running the pre-season prediction league again this season so if you want to join in you are welcome.

Where I restricted it to our guys only last year,this year I am throwing it open to ALL comers no matter what club they support. Its "free" to enter"

 

This season its a bit different.

 

You give your predictions BEFORE the first game of the season in the Ryman Premier League,as you did last season.Where will each team finish in the league.22 teams

No entrants allowed after the first game has kicked off.

 

This part of the league will continue on right through to the end of the season & scores will be as before. i.e You predict Margate to finish 15th & they finish 3rd(ummm).You get the difference in points. 15-3=12pts.

 

You are looking to get as LEAST points as you can.

i.e Ramsgate to finish 22nd & they actually finish 22nd (its possible l.o.l.) 22-22=0 pts.

The same points procedure for every team,added together.

 

The "NEW" part of this league this season will give you a "second chance" to gain points.

After our 21st match has been played another mini league will run alongside of the original.(I will contact you all to remind you at the time).

This gives you your Second chance to correctly predict the finishing places AFTER having seen the form of the teams for 21 games. Points from this part will be added to the first part at the end of the season.

 

So to sum up:

 

1) Get your PRE-SEASON predictions in to me before the first game of the season.(You name helps too,obviously)

To help me if you would,could you number the teams 1-22.

 

2) Midway through the season I will contact all those that have entered the first part to give ANOTHER prediction based on what they've seen up to that point.

 

Predict "once" pre-season & predict "once more" half-way through the season. Nothing else to do.

 

Updates will be given as last season roughly every 3 weeks until near the end of the season when they will be given fortnightly or even weekly.

At present there are no prizes for any of the leagues,its for fun only at the moment but I am hopeful of securing some kind of prize for the winner & runner up as the season progresses. If anyone out there wishes to donate a mini prize of any kind it will be more than welcome

Having problem this season predicting, league seems to be between about 6/7.

Easier to start at the botton and work up i think !!!

If the other Prediction League is not on offer this season I may be able to help out.

I was working on a new style site to present to the club to see if they wanted to use it (basically the whole thing is database driven so for example, filling in details of a match would automatically update all the relative pages including league tables, statistics, player stats and all the bits and pieces on the front page) but have not had time to move on with it.

There is, though, a prediction league feature that I have got up and running today just in case. The site is at http://mfc.net76.net and the prediction links can be found down the right hand side.

Well done Steve for running this league. I've given my predictions for this week-end. Haven' t heard fron Ian W but I know he's not very well & finding it hard to move about theses days.Maybe the Ryman Prediction League won't be up & running this season. Still time though.

Not easy this as we do not know who is in our final squad.

Do the club niot realise the prize money and prestige attached to this competition and thus the need to be in possession of our squad make-up before making final predictions.

 

At the moment ,i putting Margate about 19th but if we sign a few of those i'm hoping forin next few days, i think we could be about 16th.
