Jason Hallett

Recommended Posts

I`m sure he would be made more than welcome but if a deal was to be made it would have to be right for the player and the club, Hallett needs to play matches but the club shouldn`t be put in a position where he has to play as a condition of the deal. We have plenty of competition for places up front and it should be the form player who is selected.

I won`t get my hopes up yet but it would be nice if it happened.

I thought he was coming on great guns in the conference days. The manager knows him better than most & I'm sure he would welcome him back !

If a deal could be knocked out, the Club shouldn't be put under the pressure of having to play him. Nor should Chelmsford or Hallett himself expect to walk into the side.

Having said that, I think he could definately do a job for us once he's reached match fitness and having him for a few months could make a difference, but not at the expense of the Strikers we already have. Had this topic come up before we signed Antoine then I would've said great, as from what I remember of Hallett they're very alike.

Very true, i believe it was John Batch who brought Hallett to the club in the first place.

From the Abbott's I believe....

Indeed, Batchy brought Jason to Canvey from Waltham Abbey along with Andrew West.

As has been said already, I'd welcome Jason back, but only as long as any deal benefited us and Jason, and took pur budget into account!!

What would we get out of it??

No doubt he is a fair striker, what effect would his presence have on our existing front men?

Would we push someone else aside to fit him in only for him to move off at Christmas.

My view is john knows his stuff, he also knows about our long term direction, if he brings him in that is good enough for me.

The most interesting thing for me is how PF (who is obviously part of Chelmsfords set up)gets to make the announcement on here!!

Looks like a done deal, or is he testing the water on Jason/Jeffs behalf????

Apparntly on their forum a lot of people have said Jason is likely to be loaned out to a local Ryman Prem club Either 3 Clubs I can think of is Ricay, Canvey and Heybridge but I think if it stays in a wage structure and doesnt go over it I can see you lot the ideal place he would go to

To be honest this is just forum gossip, but IF Jason came back on loan, i would be very pleased to see him. Jason Hallett is one of the most talented players in non league, that said, we do have a budget to work to..... will just have to wait and see. I must add though, we will have a lot of competition from some very good players for the forwards berth, so i wont lose any sleep if Jason doesn't get loaned to us!
