Number of trialists used

In a very quick anorak moment, i added up the number of trialists we have seen in the first 4 friendlies.

I count as a trialist anyone the club where the club has not notifield that a contract has been signed.

I may be one or two out, but i reckon 26 trialists have been seen to date in the four matches-one of whom has been signed-Wayne Wilson.

I guess tomorrow night will see another batch of trialists;but must admit, after tomorrow,i hope that the club are able to sign up a few and then get the favoured squad into some sort of semblance and gelling for the last two friendlies.

I guess BA `wants to keep his options open (as will the players) but decision times must be near.

Just 2 friendlies left to get a team playing like a team.

Surely we do not want to be using the first 5 league games to get the team into some sort of pattern-every point will be precious and surely we can't allow 15 points just to slip away

By the end of september-a quarter of the season has gone and you can be sunk without a trace by the end of september unless you get a decent start

its going to be hard enough as it is;with the quality nothing to shout home about.

Seems the only chance we've got is to get a well organised, fit and cohesive team playing together with energy.

Times running out on that a bit now though aswell.

I think the side will be fine next season. Mid table at least. Too many people have got used to high profile names in the side. I've only seen the Wakering game but I saw some good sign's in the first half. I really am not worried.

me to-survival in this league in the coming season and then steady upward progress.

Not expecting anything more-would stil like to know the basis of the squad that BA is going to use to display his survival techniques and skills

Surely he should know by now, have there been 35ish players looked at? Not really fair on those youngsters who have given MFC good service for a couple of years but now find they are kept hanging arround just in case the reserves need propping up. A cynic might think that MFC do not want them but do`nt want them to go elsewhere.

Just read this on www.kentishfootball.co.uk

Not that interesting ,but this guy played for beckenham last night and apparently trialled for margate-news to me ?

Huntley sent his side out early for the second half, bringing on two substitutes, including striker Lewis Wood, 25, who has played for Cray Wanderers, Erith Town and Margate during pre-season.
