2 senior players, barney and sillsy, 3 trailists rest from Under 18 sides.

Severe lack of players this weekend, of the 20 man squad that beat Farnborough only 7 available last Saturday so shared them between 2 sides and put youth round them.

Yes Dave we did we were supposed to play Fetcham but at 12.45 they pulled out but we lucky that new combined counties div 1 side stepped in at the last minute we drew 2-2 but showed in patches some good football but more important we got another 90 mins on the pitch , the squad is now starting to take shape and when the 3/4 players who are on holiday get back the squad will look strong so at the moment looking forward to the league campaign starting .

DELAYED REPORT - APOLOGIES !

Dorking 1 Kingstonian XI 4

3 goals in the final 20 mins saw Ks ease home after Dorking had come back into the game well to equalise 15 mins into the 2nd half after Ks had scored a scrappy early effort. Ks had brought on a number of fresh legs as the game entered the final stages and this proved decisive as Dorking tired on a hot day at Reigate Grammar Schools Hartswood ground.

Ks included 5 or so first teamers so this was a useful exercise for Dorking who competed well and looked a more cohesive unit than last weekend in the first pre season game.

Dorking face Banstead on Thursday night at Merland Rise, Banstead in the Dave Wilson Trophy, then either Epsom and Ewell or Molesey in the final or 3rd place play off of that Trophy on Saturday, again at Merland Rise.

Dorking's last pre season game will be at home to Ryman league side Chipstead on Tuesday 5 August at Meadowbank. Chicks league campaign opens at home to Frimley Green on Saturday 9 August, ko 3pm at Meadowbank."
