Darter gets an announcement by thread. Dave_W - who's a lawyer and pays a lot of attention to anything in writing - doesn't. Some spankings are public. All of them are inconsistent. We are having some issues with free speech. And some of need another place to communicate a bit. It must all seem a bit childish. In a way it is. MyFC still has a lot of growing up to do. You guys went through your forum wars a while ago. You know who to trust, listen to, and who to ignore. MyFC isn't at that point yet. You're a much more established. stable and tolerant community. I hope our childish behaviour isn't annoying you too much. My suggestion is that you just look at us, laugh at us a bit and let us sort it out. And please don't think that this is interrupting our progress in becoming fans of EUFC. This is all just forum wars, nothing to do with team support. Howezy Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 HJA has had a previous fromal warning, cradgame has not. therefore cardgame received a formal warning (step 1) whereas HJA received a ban (step 2). If cardgamedoes it again, he will be banned, Dave W has had the chance to come back, but declined. And I personally do not ban anyone. Yes as FT we do it, but i have not personally banned anyone... mainly because i do not know how to. Gravesend_Princess Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 I feel maybe it is because they are afraid of losing new members because of the constant discontent shown by some of the older members with the attitude that the concept has already failed before it has even had time to organise and run efficiently, considering there are over 30,000 people to satisfy and i can't see how continual negativity would help to get new members to join, this is probably the reason that the WT has become so defensive and strict in what is allowed in their forums. Harry J Allstars Posted August 7, 2008 Share Posted August 7, 2008 My thoughts about this. Cardgame used the phrase to me first, the retort then stayed up for 5 hours so I replied. If he said it and I read it two minutes later then I wouldn't have said anything. The fact that it stayed up there for so long meant it was game. If the forum team can't manage the forum at 3am then forum team should close the forum at 3am, it's as simple as that. It's quite clear to me that what I said was so bad that the fact the retort stayed up so long makes the forum team themselves inadequate. Has Cardgame been given a "warning"? If not why not? And to the person that said what I said about "being here longer than the and will be here long after they leave" being inappropriate, this is an opinion I hold about certain MyFC members, not all but a few. Many members I have welcomed to the club, Yorkfox, rsheard, even the man Will Brooks himself gets a hand shake when I see him now, this will continue. We're used to your rants, sometimes you swear too much and occasionally I can't follow your point. You're both valued contributors. Or at least you would be if the FT didn't kick you off. And I think you could sort out any differences because you're both adults. But the current rules say that you've been naughty children and should be spanked. I think he's an alright guy, swears a lot but so do I. When were told not to we won't. The trouble with that thread is it was so full of crap I think we both thought that anything goes.
