It doesn't go to Brooks.

So if MYFC folded could the EUFC Trust potentially buy the club from the receiver/administrator at a knockdown price?

If it were to fold and you were Kilcullen & Botley you would probably at that stage allow it to go into administration, take the 10 point hit and try to buy it off the administrator, however the administrator would have no preference who bought the club, just what is the best deal for creditors.

I'm not trying to be a doom & gloom merchant, just trying to see what the endgame is with MYFC. Personally I would like to see the club owned by the Trust with 2K new members acquired during the MYFC reign.

That sorts out ownership, but where does the money come from? Our attendances don't currently support the level we're playing at.

Unfortunately that's true of 50% of the teams in the BSP and many in League 2. The Community Club route is the correct path but will take many years to build and as much as I hate changing the name, shiny Ebbsfleet over scummy Dartford will help in the future. You just got to hope for a tasty 3rd Rd FA CUP draw in between. Exeter away to Man Utd a few years ago saved the club when it was struggling to meet its CVA obligations.

The MyFC membership can, at any time, decide to sell the club and at what price. If it is sold the membership decides what charity would receive the funds. Or the membership could, potentially, decide to keep the society in existance and look at buying into another club (although this would be quite a difficult task).

The question that is posed by your comment is -

Would the Fleet Trust be in a position to buy and (more importantly) sustain the club financially?

This might be the case

True. Imagine them if MyFC gets its act together and we increase membership in the future to the once-sought-for 50,000.

My rose-colored glasses are being tested these days.

MyFC website has a completely different role. As such it needs to be more heavily moderated and order needs to be maintained. Allowing unmoderated discussion makes it far more difficult to ensure the role and purpose of the site

and that is probably the biggest load of bollox you've ever posted wanchai...it was an off topic social thread so what on earth has that got to do with running a football club and the discipline needed therein..

and yes we lost today...grin

Irrespective of whether discussions occur on off-topic or not - the site is there to run a football club. What happens on off-topic impacts on everything else that happens on the site. All of the forums are subject to the same rules - whether certain individuals feel that it is their personal domain or not.

Now you may not give two fiddlers whether EUFC is run properly (unlike another club we could mention) - but I suspect that a large number of EUFC supporters on here do. So what may be bollox to you is not necessarily seen in the same light by other people.

Dom you are talking utter tripe about the Forum. The off-topic is off-topic, by definition. Our revered Chairman thinks the whole site is now his personal domain and seems to come on every thread where the people he dislikes are having fun, to troll, jibe and flame. Members are treated differently - some are given loads of leeway and others are given the heavy-handed treatment. Members of the FT have been inflammatory and sarcastic in their comments, both now and in the past, and it is overlooked.

The Forum belongs to the members. Remember that if you would. And we are of course all equal in theory, except that we are now living in Animal Farm I'm afraid.
