a lovely day at the carslberg stadium and after a 3 hour traffic packed journey I arrived to much applause and a hot dog from the massed throngs of urchin pilgrims around the beautiful new ground....

 

was a real pleasure to be there as it goes having been involved from day one and much credit has to go to wader for designing and building the whole stadium and also to his chairman and my old friend mo dorrington for refusing to have a heart attack over the cost of it all...

 

unusually less than fluid urchins were a bit stop and start today to be honest and colin was deffo not best pleased as he sat arms crossed in the dug out (bet there were a few hairdryers on full blast in the sumptuous away dressing rooms ) and the waders played some great footie and deserved their half time lead....

 

mostly urchins in the second but a goal was never coming and a fitting result methinks for the waders to christen their new home in their 1st real friendly of the season...(forget histon and hitchen they are pub teams)

 

well done all...a good day out in the summer sunshine and warm and friendly hosts....we wish them well in their new home...

didnt play as well as other friendly games, but i put that down to the heat on Saturday, because it was ruddy hot!!
