Eton Wick vs Slough Town XI

We did look shakey first half partly due to Sloughs "experianced" players (O'connor and Gumbs - old enought to be their dads) needing to fit in and also the juniors seemed a little too keen to try things before setteling down and maybe the size of the crowd so close.

 

Once settled, played well and with structure and started to pass the ball round with confidence and showed their ability.

 

Thought 14 who came on up front played well - chased down balls and went at the defence - also he has some hight.

 

Stanly has a nice touch with the ball and ran at and passed players - not sure if he is strong enough yet to go pass a big defender?

 

Good to see Tom Attrell score and play some good crosses in - starting to come together.

 

Overall I think the juniors will do well at their level and looking forward to seeing some of them in the first team.

i also think that the left back for slough juniors was very good (he was the one who got injured half way through the second half)

 

he was making some very good runs down the wing to support the midfeild.

 

it seems like slough will have a very good future if these juniors make it into the main team
