Answered by the BBC (although perhaps not true wink - we all know the Beeb!)

City will receive a bonus if Ebbsfleet reach the play-offs and have also negotiated a sell-on clause.

Presuming it is true, are we allowed more details on these matters David, or are they to be kept private?

taken from cambridge city's website:

Michael Gash, the striker who has spent most of his productive professional career at Cambridge City, has moved to Ebbsfleet for a five figure sum.

The deal also includes bonuses to be paid to City in the event of Ebbsfleet reaching the play-offs. A sell-on fee has also been negotiated.

Gash, who joined the club as a 15 year old, had two spells at Milton Road interrupted by a season with rivals Cambridge United.

Everyone at the club wishes Michael the very best of luck with the development of his career as he takes on the challenge of full Conference football. Michael leaves behind a legacy of great goal scoring and much tireless work for which all who have watched him over the years thank him.

I reckon he had a solid enough performance today. Yeah he may of not been man of the match and sure he is a little rusty but that is because he has been playing part time football. Now he is with us I am sure with more full time training his stamina, pace and sharpness will get better. One positive I reckon is that he seems to be good with little flick ons and seem to work ok alongside Luke Moore. Looking forward to seeing how good he plays against Millwall.

Today was a great day for Gash lovers. Gash was all over the place. And not in the best of conditions, it was too hot! Now we're all happy that the rain didn't come, but it must have been murder for the players! Is a sweaty Gash preferable to a moist Gash? Only time will tell, but I think it's safe to say that today, our Gash came out smelling like roses...

Apart from the miss from 3 yards :-)

Michael certainly won more than his share of headers and the players around him need to be more aware that he is going to win those knock downs and react quicker to them.
