Interesting to note that whilst we got 1800+ v Charlton, and the Darts got around 2000, the freindly at Neath v Swansea got an atounding 7500!!!

That is the sort of gate we need!

I was at the Neath game, it was played at their new ground which is also the home of NEATH RFC The Gnoll, but still a fantastic gate, bearing in mind Neath only get 150-200 for their home games

With the Fleet being down in the West Country , I took the liberty of visiting Craven Cottage to watch Fulham V Celtic.

 

Must have been 12000, Celtic fans there , now thats who we need to play in friendly, the bar takings alone would fund our season.

Celtic always have a great 'away' following for London friendlies...

 

Tickets are normally sold at Parkhead as well as the home team to ensure that they meet demand.

 

Somehow, I dont think that the 'bhoys' would be happy with the lack of 'heavy' in the bar, or the speed of service!!

The problem is HG, that Charlton have got such a crap reputation when it comes to sending out a team for a friendly.

They say one thing and then do something entirely different. Just look at last season when they sent down a side that amounted to a team of kids after saying they were going to put-out a team that would include first teamers.
