A selection of photos from the game against GWR are now available on the MFC website at mfc v GWR 19 July 2008 . I've put quite a few up given all the new faces. Please provide correction to any mistakes in naming or names I've missed.

Thanks Mark, I guess he was the No.6 then who no one seemed to know but based on Steve B's post I'm guessing he might be John Wilfort. I'll try that until told otherwise.

Interesting if it was Debolla-good experience and a great shot.

Seems strange that as yourself and others comment-that he did not shine on the day.

Its the type of experience MFC need-would not think he could be afforded though !!

It was definitely not DeBolla. Number 6 was John Wilfort, who played against Deal as well. Wasn't impressed by him in either game.

Two players that I did think played well in both games were Dan Stubbs and Wayne Wilson. Stubbs was at Ebbsfleet last season and had a spell on loan at Whitstable. He looks to be a player with a lot of ability.

Haven't really been impressed by Cable or Peak. Not sure on Mullin.

Sorry my mistake, Debolla was no.8. He needs to get fitter, looks like he's carrying my wife around his waist. Dont tell her I said that please we are still working through issues from 8yrs ago..................!!But he was/is quality but probably, as stated, tooooooo expensive. Lets wait and see though.

Possibly interesting that on the GWR post-Steve B who usually gets all the names-missed a couple-and arguably the 'highest profile' was Debolla.

i wonder whether that is because no one caught the name,-or that it was not announced/written down, in the first place in a (now failed ) attempt to keep it relatively hush hush ?

Not there, so have got got a clue; but i did note that Blackman (i assume lloyd blackman) played in the Deal game;and whilst a fair bit has been commented on Debolla; Blackman also has resonable conference national pedigee -Crawley 12 months ago-so is probably no mean player

I quite liked Blackman at Deal, especially the way he helped at back with set pieces, headed the ball away many times but didnt look so sharp up front IMO
