Penn & Tylers vs Slough

0-4 when I left with about thirty to go. First half hat trick from Danny Jordan (Possibly perfect hat-trick) added to in the second half by Max Howell (I believe).

Howell and Sean Keller were the only unfamiliar faces in the Rebels squad which more or less changed completely at half time.

Jon Beames, Ryan Fenton, Richard Pierson, Max Howell, Dean Harper, John Gray, Lee Riddell, James Pritchard, Craig Roberts, Danny Jordan and Craig Platt started the game in a 4-4-2 formation (L-R).

Second half started with Beames, Daly, Fenton, Connor, Howell, Dickens, Windsor, Keller, Roy Gumbs and Jermaine Gumbs (missing one but can't recall who)

Excellent stuff and a good start from DJ. Sorry to have missed it but had to be elsewhere today.

Danny Jordan looked a class act. toying with the Penn and Tylers defence at times

Platt was very impressive too especially with his movement off the ball. you can see he was coached at a high level

Max Howell looked a good i thought and not only because he grabbed a goal. he played well first half in centre defence but i thought even better at right back 2nd half

Jermaine looked to impress too much and it showed him up a bit

Windsor worked hard on the left wing although never looked massively comfortable wide

all in all a great start to preseason and far more positives than negatives

Gary the one you missed on 2nd half line up was Lawerence Brown as far as i know

Yep, was Laurence Brown. No McConigley today with Jackson an unused sub.

Regulars missing from last seasons squad were Tom Attrell, Ryan Wharton, Usif Bangura, Lee Carroll, Meddie Nsubuga and Terry Davies.

Missed most of the first half. Jordan took his goals well and thought Howell looked good. Be good to get him on board.

Didn't Keller play for the reserves a few seasons back? Still think were short on the right wing though, Roberts did a job there, but is more of a central midfielder from what I remember.

I thought the players (especially the first half) did extremely well today and can only get better. The front pairing of Jordan & Platt have the potential to match Hodges & Boot.

James Pritchard continues to show he's our class act in midfield by being cool under pressure and hardly ever giving the ball away.

I think Sweets could have a big (but nice) headache for central defence. Today (first half) he had Pierson and Howell as centre backs with Harper filling in at right back. Assuming that Maconigle fills the right back position leaving a choice of two centre backs from Pierson, Daly, Howell(if he signs), Harper and Connor. Best of luck Sweets!!

Howell scored against us twice. Once in the away league game as well. Former Luton player:

Looking around other sites for ex players notice Chris Robinson is with Hampton & Richmond now, Richard Barnard with Wealdstone and the much talked about Sam Byfield of Hillingdon at Hendon presumably all on trial.

Good start to the campaign on Saturday and Jordan certainly looked the business up front. Good feet, clever movement and looked a threat in the air. In fact, most of the newcomers looked quite useful
