Bodmin V Ebbsfleet

Recommended Posts

I was present at the game, it was a pretty good workout for the team as Bodmin were a useful side.

All of the first team regulars looked sharp, particularly Long & Barret.

Ricky Shakss impressed me but Gash appears to lack pace and was at times easily disposessed.

We created a few chances in the first half but didn't really look convincing in front of goal,(the old lack of fox in the box problem again),late in the second half with the introduction of Moore & Purcell,we opened up their defence with pace and it provided the openings for our two goals.

I spoke to Liam after the match and he said that he liked Gash but that his fitness needed upping as he has only been playing part-time with Camb.city, he was very complimentary about Efe and Pooley, and he also mentioned that he would be speaking to Josh Simpson on Monday.

Even so , Josh was mentioned as trialling with us last week , and didn't appear in either of these two games - so what happened ? Was he trialling elsewhere ? If he is worthy of a place in Liam's affections , I hope we stand half a chance of his signature when Liam speaks to him on Monday .
