...and good coverage in this week's papers the Observer leads with pictures of our new signings with the headline Jordan signs as Rebels match his ambitions.

Nice quote in there as well:

Quote:

I know a few people down at Slough so went down to take a look and it's very well run

Shows you how far we've come off the pitch in the last season with the likes of Steve Easterbrook, Chris Sliski, Gary Thomas and the committee, Derek Sweetman and the rest of the team on-board.

You would certainally not have said that over the previous seasons.

Also interesting quotes regarding players from Derek in the express:

Quote:

Terry Davies has been training and I will be sitting down with him soon. Roy Gumbs is back. He's soley with us this year. I will be stting down with Laurence Brown to discuss him staying and that's also very positive. I'm also in talks with Brian Connor and Jermaine Gumbs.

Don't know if the Express spoke to Derek prior to Terry playing for Northwood or not, but seems he's certainally not gone yet. Really pleased about Roy Gumbs and Laurence Brown looking likely to stay.

Interesting though, if Terry, Jermaine and Roy stay that's five strikers with Jordan and Platt.

Be very interesting to see who is there, and who is not there tomorrow...

Still nothing said on our club captain though.

Yes, mostly good, positive stuff.

However, there are some slightly worrying aspects. Correct me if I'm wrong but I would have thought the first thing on the agenda once training had restarted would have been to re-sign your best players from last season asap before they go elsewhere.

Going by the above quotes there are still some players i.e. Terry Davies and Laurence Brown who havn't even been spoken to yet.

And yes, I think most of us would like some news on Steve Daly.
