Kick off time

i have spoken too people who were going to turn up at 3-00. i have not seen the local yet, they say it doesn't mention the 12-00 o'clock kick off time. If this is correct, then its a b******s up. I spoke to one guy who says he's not coming to any more games due to the lack of info in the local press over the closed season. He thought the Club had shut down. Another isn't coming to any friendlies to watch a bunch of Kids( his words), he and his mates will give them the first league game, if not impressed will go and watch the Rams instead. These are not fly by nights but people who have supported the Gate for a good many years.

So please make sure every one you know has the correct kick off time.

Good post-if i was the club, to endeavour to rectify what could be a difficult situation, i'd try anbd lay on an open training session at 3pm with maybe a 45 minute game,a free drink in bar -and then issue anyone turning up-a voucher for free entry to the Cray friendly. (on a sunday )and turn it into a PR coup.

Its a great opportunity to make friends-not lose them

Mistakes/oversights happen-but its how do deal with it.

Having said that it may just be that the club are not at fault anyway.seened pretty well circulated to me.

A large part of our fan base is heading up in years and a lot do not have the inter net The guys I was speaking to do not listen to local radio either, they rely on the local paper for their news.

As an older person who a) does have the internet B) occasionally listens to Radio Kent (I am an exile) but c) doesn't see the local paper every week, I find this thread confuses me.

What's it all about?

I know there was a few TOTS fans popping over to Southwood to see Robin Trott tomorrow, im lead to believe he has left Welling Town before kicking a ball.

If any of you are popping over there is a Bar B Que being laid on by The Chairman for supporters and players after the game.

We know That Kieran, Graeme's post meant why wasn't it mentioned in today's local paper as not all fans have a PC. So he wants us fans who do know to try and spread the word.

According to the Welling site Robin Trott has been released. Also, interestingly, in the Welling v Charlton game, Welling played two different sets of players and one set included "Pinnock".

Mind you, there is no sign of such a name on the squad list on the website.
