Is it not funny how different people interpret what other people say. I thought Rob's comment was more of an incorrect historical event in that he thought that the Asians that were booted out of East Africa came from Kenya and not Uganda.

 

Hence his comment of more Asians over here.

 

Just goes to show how wrong we are to interpret what other people say and, thus cause unnecessary PC.

But it was yet another comment from a fan of another club who has no place posting their views on our forum unless it directly concerns MFC fans.
I would say that at the moment the percantage of posts from fans of other clubs is in double figures. As are posts of no relevance to the topic.
Would it be possible to add a sub forum open to all and stipulate that the important posts should be left to Margate fans and anyone who has anything of interest to say on the topic. This also goes for posts that are 100 blank lines followed by a couple of smilies. Sometimes people have just a few minutes to browse the forum and come away having not seen anything of interest, just irritating stuff.

I'd buy into that-and topics will always stray but totally agree that when they stray away from football into who can put up the most boring series of smiley's i similarly find it frustrating

I can see what you are saying Steve but as this is an "Open" Forum run by a third party I guess at the end of the day it is down to them. I believe there is a forum where questions like this can be put to the Administration side?

 

All I can do as a Moderator is to delete or change anything I feel is necessary or if I get a PM from others and at the end of day I can ask Admin to ban any person in question if it really gets out of hand.

It seems to me that more and more people are advocating censorship on this forum along the lines of the heavy dictatorship of 'The Official Ramsgate Forum'. This censorship folows the lines of "I disagree with it then it must be wrong and therefore should be deleted".

 

Well I have news for those people this country is founded on 'FREE' speech for everyone regardless of thier political,religious,sexual orination or racial origin. Long may 'DEMOCRACY' continue to survive in this country.

I think that the simple solution would be just to not reply to any of his posts, no matter how irritating they are.

 

He may then get bored of talking to himself. Then again it might make him feel at home considering how quiet the Ramsgate forum is.
