All the fixtures would have been included in the fixtures database but yours truly has cocked the updates up! Normal service has been resumed I hear you cry! ;o)

You wonder whether there ought to be a way of keeping these on the front page;since the way the site is designed-as soon as there are two more bits on'news' they disappear from the front page .

In fairness the "news" on the home page is "latest" news so you always get the 2 most recent stories. All other (older) news is available by clicking on the news button and that gives you all the news ever - well, back to 20th August 2006 anyway. Of course, had I not cocked up the database updates the friendlies would be available in the fitxtures database (click on "Fixtures for the Current Season" in THE MATCHES section).

 

The full season proper fixtures will be available both in the database and in stats as we plot results, remaining fixtures, player stats and highs and lows.

News is wha it is-news today,old news tomorrow.

 

I appreciate its not really practical to go re-designing things but my point is that some things that have'staying poewer' such as psf schedules may benefit from being more 'in your face' .

 

In these days of instant gratification-sometimes people just can't be bothered to make the 'extra click ' to go to the fixtures databaes-sad but true of any website.

 

The really important stuff needs to be on page 1 all the time.

 

Thats why many sites show the NEXT FEW fixtures as opposed to just the next one fixture on front page.

 

The stats pages are brilliant as they are

 

Just my idle thoughts ,whilst we wait news of stupendous signings to hurtle us up in the bookies regards

Depend whose 'left overs'-left overs who have not made it in trials at a league 1st division club may be pretty useful at our level whilst they re-establish their careers.
