congratulations to the idiots who run the ESL on the fact that they are now the last step 5 league to announce their 2008/09 fixtures, just a reminder the league season starts in 3 weeks but hey whats the hurry!

why not phone up the clubs at midday on august 9 and tell them where they are playing that day.

Come on Richard, you know how this league works. All clubs meet at the halfway house on the opening day and are then told who they are playing. There is then a mad rush to all parts of Essex, Hertfordshire and East London to play the games. The teams that arrive at the grounds first get an extra league point.

In fairness, Rich, you have to consider that the ESL has to wait until the Isthmian League fixtures are announced before they collate their fixtures. Many clubs in the ESL groundshare with clubs in the Isthmian, unfortunately. Any idea when the Essex & Herts Combination season will start?

Didn't see you at Bowers last night grin

Richard, chill out a little mate.

All you seem to do in here is attack people...we all know that the people who run the league work hard. They cant announce any fixtures until the clubs who groundshare get there fixtures in!

Im sure your life is not that desperate that you are relying on the ESL fixtures to map the next 9 months of your life out!

Also ESL clubs have been given the option of starting their season on 9 August with a league game or on 16 August in the FA Cup which is an added complication for our hard working fixture secretary.

cheers joe, maybe the bowers pitch is unfit as we did have some rain last week,at least it means i wont have to pay.

i only recognized harry stevens and a couple of ex bees from bowers 22 players from last saturday i would assume that they will put out less triallists this week,so good to see three triallists ordered off the pitch last week in time honoured fasioned for trying to start a pre season punch up.
