A walk to Didcot - good luck to the brave souls who give it a go

Live Maps says that the shortest distance to Didcot is 33.2 miles on normal roads.

 

It's nice to start with a home game, although a weekend away to Truro in Janurary will be a bit cold.

 

It will be interesting to see what the rest of the fixtures are.

So for midweek away games we have North Leigh, Windsor and Abingdon.

 

Thatcham away on 27 December doesn't exactly have the usual Boxing Day ring to it but SYCOB on New Years Day and Easter Monday makes sense.

33.2 miles? eep. I nearly died after 23.2miles... Might look to leave at 4am and factor in an hour's break somewhere...

either that or we could introduce the cycling idea someone had a while back?

Two of my local games in first three matches. North Leigh and Cinderford. Warning for those driving to Cinderford - major roadworks on A40 between Gloucester and the A48 turning, which is the one you will need. Work goes onto October. You can sometimes fly through, but other times can take a heck of a long time to get through them. Went into Gloucester this morning, and noticed queing about 3 miles into roadworks. Just be aware of poss delays.

The official site has our visit to Bishops Cleeve as the Tuesday 3rd March, but the Southern League site has it as the Saturday 7th? Can somebody please clarify?
