never forget alcohol is a depressant... sure the short term effects are nice but the next day everything seems even worse.. that is if your planning on doing a proper job and schooning 3 bottles on your own.. if your just sharing a bottle over a nice chinese with your missus listening to some sounds then i dont think it will be a problem..

but remember children, its not the getting pissed n falling over, its not the way you cant remember how you got home, its not even the hangover! its the crushing depression that only loads of back to back beer sessions bring that can break a man ( i say man cos 99.9 per cent of birds would be in casualty by now -no offence-) ..

if you dont have the mental strength then dont play.. stick to heroin or crack or something mild..

here endeth the sermon

That is why I stick to the Shandies CANV!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I'm not even 18 yet, I might consider your advice, (I don't think I'm allowed on College grounds under the influence of Alcohol). Still being served pints in The Last Post by your Tutors doesn't seem that bad on a Friday lunch-time!!!

Matt - one lunch time go and get absolutely steamed up and then go back for your afternoon lectures I used to do that at sixth form and the tutors never noticed! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

ahh.. you see being around 18 is a different kettle of fish..at that age you dont need to care about 'post piss up depression' cos you dont get that till your late 20's and at 18 you cant afford enough beer to get it..in fact at 18 you can kick the crap out of your body and it really wont give a toss..

what you need to watch out for at that age is making an [****!!****] of yourself..throwing up, emotional outbursts in pubs, fighting with your mates (not fists but girly arguements),

crying cos your bird dumped you etc etc.. beer does funny things to the teenage mind

Well Shots1, sometimes I'd like to know what the Tutors are on!!

My Film Studies Tutor is either heavily doped up or needs to get laid pretty soon the way he struts his stuff around the building. The same could be said for one of the English tutors too.

18 years old, been in a fair few pubs and had a fair few pints, and I can proudly say that I've only ever thrown up once to being sick, and even then I was stiched up.

18, and have only been sick once through drinking??

That's nothing to be proud of - you haven't lived, mate.

Mind you - I wouldn't chuck up if my limit was two Buds either!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Zeal. In my most humble of opinions, being sick through drinking does not make a night better than if you don't throw up. In my opinion, it's better to drink loads and not throw up. That's a good night.

Luckily for me, I don't get hangovers either.

You would've thought HKS wouldn't either, but last season on the way back from Aldershot...

Travel sickness? Yeah right.

I've mixed alcohol with (whisper it) pot and still I didn't get sick. I don't get hangovers either, no matter how much I drink. For some reason, whenever I drink alcohol it makes me *ahem* go to the loo a lot, I think that's the reason why I have a strong constitution for the stuff- I just 'get rid' of it right away! (sorry to be crude!)

Hmm you're like me. Had a couple of pints before the game on Saturday and 25 minutes in, I need the loo. I have to wait until half time because i'm scared I'll miss a goal.

I'd just like to state that I no longer do illegal substances and never indulged 'heavily' in them. And, I didn't inhale!!

I don't drink pints anymore. I had one REALLY REALLY bad beer in a curry house ages ago and it made me feel so sick it's put me off for life. Just the smell can send me queasy. Also, I decided that if I'm going to be a rock music journalist I needed to start drinking a rock 'n' roll drink-that's when I started drinking JD and Coke and I haven't stopped since!

I hate JD! I only tend to drink bitter now rather than lager. Most lager from pubs unless it is bottled tastes like s..t. It's gassy and generally tends to do my stomach in. Vodka and coke is more my drink if I fancy a change.

Yeah my mate had about four bottles of the blue one on Saturday. Is there a green one?

Smirnoff Ice I tend to drink quite often. It's not best to mix this with beer though. Vodka and sunny delight is another lethal concoction. I drunk so much of it on my mate's 21st (two days before Christmas), I collaped and then went to sleep for the rest of the evening. I still felt like c..p on Boxing Day!

My friend went to a house party and they mixed so many drinks together they ended up with a purple drink- of which my friend drunk a bottle! (she lost her virginity that night! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)

I don't know if there's a greenWKD. I'll do some research this weekend!
