thought echanomi looked dangerous when he got the ball (which wasn't very often). rankine also in the same boat. thought the defensive display was pretty awful. darius didn't do himself many favours. on another note who was the prat who jumped on the pitch. absolute ******!

I don't think people should look too deeply into the scoreline. TBH, I feel that this was a game that Liam would have preferred at the end of the pre season, rather than as a starter. Clearly we were unfit, no blame or surprise, whilst Charlton have had 2 or 3 run outs already.

We also played a shedfull of triallists, and to be fair this sort of game wasn't actually much use to them as Charlton's passing and running bypassed most of our new triallists.

It is a shame that the large crowd weren't treated to a better Fleet performance, pre season is really more effective if you start with easier games and build up to the top matches.

I guess we had little choice over the dates, and the

I'm really happy to see Sam Callander be given a chance to shine, as well as Kwashi Appiah and Chris Kinnear who were the stars of last year's youth team. Maybe the club's typically excellent PASE scheme is bearing even more fruit, and we can provide ourselves with the means to push onto the Football League with players like Big John and the aforementioned three.

Number 5 was simply out of his depth, but I think Darius just had a bad day. Last year he was composed and classy and I don't think too much should be deducted from today. Number 12, I'm not sure who he was, but he injected pace and urgency down the right wing when introduced. Everyone who played up front had a degree of skill, class and awareness, although the same was said about Chukki and Nade last year.

Early days, we'll just have to wait and see.

Cheered on and encouraged by many behind the goal - setting a great example on how NOT to behave at a game. I always thought that running onto the pitch was an offence? Bearing in mind the stick that was given to someone doing the same last season!

Great to see the stewards at the same high standard as previous years. And don't say it was 'only a friendly', I witnessed them ejecting someone else today for much less.

Dave and myself were both in that area behind the goal, and along with us there were many more doing to opposite of encoraging him.

too much drink i believe. I really though he would be ejected. Perhaps the stewards did not want to go into that area.

Personally, I think that we never turned up for the game. It was like they all went on a bender last night and were still hung over.

Hopefully lance is not injured, it just looked that he was still suffering from his operation during the closed season.
