Still got two problem positions for me, left-back and right-midfield we have no signings for. I know Roberts can play left-back, and Meddie did a good job there late last season but that's not their natural positions.

 

Notice Woody's not gone back to Oxford City, would be good to get him back in my opinion to add pace to the back-line.

John Ellis and Dean Harper down the right would be a good solid combination with Craig Roberts also having the ability to play out on the right.

Woodruffe should not come back!

 

His attitude problem on the pitch is shocking, always constantly moaning and mouthing off at the ref and other players. Plus for a left footed player his crossing is dreadful.

Agree about Woodruffe. I never really understood what all the fuss was about with him.

 

We've made some top signings though, especially Jordan who got 30-odd goals last season.

 

If Platt has previously played for Crewe, Nantwich and Biddulph then I guess he's moved into the area recently for some reason? He also has a good goal record.

Agree about Woodruff - not a team player and his attitude to refs got us in all sorts of problems with him being sent off or regular bookings for to much mouth - dont mind bookings for tough fouls - shows commitment, but bookings for mouthing off is a total waste. For the few times he turned it on, were totally out weighed buy the poor performances and diciplinary record.

 

There are better out there who want to play for Slough.

 

Team players are required, not egos.

I wasn't aware of any right back signing? was under the impression Dean Harper was our right back with John Ellis as back up covering right midfield and right back. I know this sounds a bit weak but would like to think its enough to help us through.

yep ..i like woody , but allowed himself to loose control on the pitch .but persoanlly a nice bloke...but we needed him to keep his head...which he failed to do on many occassions
