He played in the Midland Football Alliance last season so I would assume not.

Squad is beginning to look good on paper having two 20+ goals a season strikers especially, something we which haven't had in a while. Good to see John Gray and Jacko retained too.

After what happened with Altrincham a few seasons back it is better to be safe than sorry.

Very good news to have Gray back for the season and Danny Jordan should be an excellent signing so long as he isn't struck down by the Slough Town striker's curse!

Excellent stuff, Jordan is a great signing and I am really pleased to see John Gray back, he was great once moved forward to play on the wing. Things seem to be shaping up nicely.

Beware the curse of Deji Davies, Paul Coombs, Matt Miller and all the rest...

But it's looking good. Some more solid acquisitions and hopefully it will be a season of stability.

Just to clarify on Platt's international clearance. We would only require it if his last club was in Iceland. His club before Biddulph obtained clearance, so fortunately it is not something we need to worry about obtaining.

From what I understand, Platt and Jordan upfront together are sublime.

Delighted with the signing of Danny Jordan a proven goalscorer, and Platt sound good as well. Our trouble last season was scoring goals and both seem to know where the net is.

Must also say i'm really glad that John Gray has stayed as well. After we moved him from the stupid left-back position we put him in he grew in confidence later in the season.

after hearing about a few training sessions i reckon with the remaining signings being Terry Davies, Tom Attrell, Brian Carter, John Ellis and Roy Gumbs, we then have a team more than capable of competing in this league! Im getting excited already!

Anon,

I'm not sure what your saying.

Are you guessing that these will be the remaining signings or have you heard?

Also, who is Brian Carter?

Some excellent signings especially Jordan & Platt.

Looking at the Biddulph Victoria web site, the comment about Platt is 'a clever player who can pick a pass'.

If we can get the players to provide the ammunition for the forwards and at the same time keep it tight at the back the potential for next season, to say the least, is exciting.

As Staines Rebel has pointed out if we can get another 6 to 8 quality signings and the new players blend together quickly I think we have the potential to be a top 3 team.

On the point of Terry Davies, Mark 44 said he has been seen at training (perhaps Gary or Chris can clarify the position). It would be shame if he didn't sign up because with him sitting just behind the front two I think we could tear most defences apart.

Without getting too carried away, I'm starting to get very excited about the new season.
