Hi boys,

 

Got my first pre season friendly tomorrow over at Hanworth Villa. Whats it like over there?

Thought it was me too for a while!!!

 

Only been to one training session so far. Think he'll fit in ok, he actually looked like a bit of a star. He said, "the training was much easier dad, infact I think is was to easy" which came as a bit of a shock to me. He is probably one of the better players with this team, huge confidence boast for him, and provided the team is in the correct league will be a very entertaining season. I have of course offered to help out if required.

Boys are off down to Chichester City United tomorrow for couple of games. I am off to Wentworth for a bit of a feed and drink, which will be rudely interrupted by a wedding.

Only time I played at Hanworth Villa FFan was few years back and game had to be moved to another picth on the site as someone had carelessly left a car in the middle of the pitch.

 

Unable to move it as someone else had come along and burnt it out.

Not sure where i'm gonna go tomorrow. Possibly Chertsey v K's or Walton Casuals v Fulham XI

 

Bad memories or Chichester City PB, went down there a few years back in the FA Cup replay with Chessington Utd, Tuesday night got stuffed 5-0, ouch!

The Chertsey game is being played at some ground in New Malden, so don't go turning up at Alwyns Lane!

We were unbelievably poor!

 

Went 2-0 up within 10 minutes and then threw it away and were 5-2 down by half time!

 

I got 30 minutes in between the sticks and conceeded the sixth but then saved a penalty right at the death, i think our first team could be in for a tough season!

Bookham lost 1-3 to Sallanches France last Wednesday, cant tell you much about the game great set up for by all accounts and think Queenie might like to comment

I've been training with both Cove and Hartley recently. Not played any games for either team yet so havent committed myself. Should get some much needed pre season practice in this weekend.

Does the 6-1 score line to Camberley tell the whole story?? Were they that bad or were Camberley that good?

Wasnt there myself but have been told after going 1 down after 10 minutes we then played very well. Both sides we put out were mixed with 1st and reserves and all put in a good performance. The 2nd game was won 4-0.

 

Pitch was a touch on the long side I believe JJ, maybe worth taking the extra long studs, wouldnt want you to be left down there after vanishing in the long grass.

A pair of stilts = probably a bad first touch!!
