I don't think you can take it as that Hippy, am guessing people are only assuming this is the case. I would be amazed if the club aren't paying these lads something or maybe on a "Pay as you Play" basis?

Pay as you pay is probably whats going on. Ian why do you have to constantly take the mick. You know, Ramsgate weren't up to much a short time ago. Do you revel in Margate FC's demise. I hope not. I always thought thanet football was your main interest. I sincerely hope that Ramsgate do not suffer from the same misfortune as ourselves. You see although I support Margate I've always taken an interest in Ramsgate and local football as a whole. I hope this is the case with yourself.

Now that is funny Ian grin

He can't help it Paul its some sort of fetish I believe he has, unable to be nice to people anywhere.

Thanks for the info Tony, I believe other signings are due to be announced too but leave that to the official club site to do.

Whilst we await official confirmation of hammonds signing (and gregory)can someone advise me whether Hammond is a full back or central defender (he is not that tall is he for a central defender).

Similarly-Gregory-left back-or left midfield ?

Good to see Mr Ashby apparently concentrationg on defence and midfield .

I hope he is building from the back.

Interesting if gregory is signed-we would then ave 3 players who play at left back-

Robinson,Gregory and Eliot payne.

Thats why i wondered whether gregory was as much left midfield (Dean Standens natural replacement !!).

ummmm-do we have any right backs ?-is that Harker ?

I don't know much about Allen Heath but do remember seeing him play at VCD a couple of seasons ago, paired with Louis Smith in central defence, and thought that they were both impressive on that occasion. Kent Senior Cup when the only first teamers on show were SCS and Paul Abbott.

Interesting how we all have different views-yes -i guess Smith could play at right back, but he does seem to have matured into an improved central defender.

Your right though-forgot that Smith started off there .
