Programme of the Year Awards

Recommended Posts

I have just found out that Margate FC have taken 3rd place in the Ryman Premier Programme of the Year Awards for the second season running.

Given the fact that a few programmes had a lot more pages and there were a few glossy and full colour publications I am pleased to have snatched 3rd place!

In an Oscars style moment I would like to thank Don for the photo's, Keith and Thomas for the regular articles and anyone else who contributed.

I am hoping to make the programme even better this term so am looking for ideas that people would like to see implemented. I already have a few ideas that I am toying with and hope to get some in the Great Wakering programme.

Also if anyone would like to contribute, or if there is anyone who could help in other ways (particularly anyone who has a couple of hours a week they could spare in Margate library or someone who has an in-depth knowledge of databases - particularly Microsoft Access) feel free to let me know!

Steve

Well done SB.

I trust it makes the hard work worthwhile.

Aiming for top 2 this year then.

Looking forward to seeing the new content.

Seems like there are lots of new faces at the club this season to get profiles on.

I wonder which of the management coaching team will be willing to do regular articles for you.

Its odd really when you consider that we have one of the best Ryman programmes,

One of the best offcial websites ,

the best Ryman live broadcasting service (now Wombles have gone are we the only one as dover usually just have a text service -though Dover do have post match video )

the most active fans forum,

one of the best away supported teams

definately the biggest and arguably the best management/coaching structure,

one of the best-if not the best -pitch

still one of the best attended clubs (though going backwards on this one )

so for those of us where 'size matters'and we want to be thought of a a 'big club' still-those activities support that mindset;

but here we are on the playing front with what appears to be one of the lowest budgets and the least experienced squad, and signing players who will find it very very tough in this league

It seems rather odd that so much is so good but we are going to be under so much pressure to maintain premiership status;and it would 'ruin' all the other things that are so good about MFC.

Up the 'Gate

Nice observation MM - I think you're right. Fingers crossed for the current playing approach paying dividends over the next few years.
