Assume it was Chertsey's first team. Not a bad start for them!

AFC played a mixture of Reserve/Tralists in first half and 5 First Teamers in 2nd half.

Chertsey 3-0 up at half time, game finished 4-1.

 

Steve Windegaard, Marcus Moody, Lee O'leary, Gavin Bolger, Paul Brooker & Chris Chin all new signings for Chertsey played.

 

Brooker hat trick and Steve Gibson scored the goals for Chertsey

Yes Lee O'leary from Wealdstone & Hendon last year & Marcus Moody Egham. Believe Windegaard is from Redhill.

Pomroy did not play for Chertsey.

AFC obviously looked a lot stronger in the 2nd half and Terry Brown & Stuart Cash made an apperance for the 2nd period.

If he has feck me Chertsey must have some dough cus that BTK is expensive.

 

Like Pomroy good player, he must be on Holiday.

From what I have heard Lee has signed and Brooker has commited to another year, although he had loads of offers apparently, one notably from Havent & Waterlooville.

 

Pomroy good player, got to be favourite for Golden Boot again.

No didn't go BADdy, although in hindsight may have done seeing how many old boys were apparently on show! (Bolger, Coops, Gibson, O'Leary).

Gussy, no-one seems to know the line-up for sure. Even seasoned ressie watchers didn't recognise anyone in the first half apparently! (from the Dons line-up anyhow ). Could be that Michael Peacock is still on his hols, as he missed last weekend's training camp due to being away on a pre-arranged holiday.

Sounds like Chertsey will be strong contenders this coming season then.

They'll be there or thereabouts if they can keep all those players past Christmas and if they play as a team and not individuals.
