Thus, I propose: can we also 'lock' a certain user who continues to bring up the subject of the E.G.M blah blah blah?

At this present time the most important thing is the new squad , alot of people have said we are going to be another Leyton this season and fall out of the league in style some are saying we will surprise everyone and do ok , we could all go on about alot of hot topics over the past season or two and that nothing changes and to an extent it has not on certain fronts . 5 yrs ago we were in dream world MFC were at the top of the Non-league tree but now 5yrs later we are a shadow of what we were and this is the most depressing thing of all . Other kent clubs that were behind us are now very sucessful and walking tall with money to play with and big names signing for them , unfortunatly we aint got no money and our name is not a pulling point anymore so all the players have are the fans who need to get behind them and help them forget the bad times the club have gone through likewise if they can perform for us maybe they can help us forget the crap we have had to put up with . We have got probably the best management set up in the Ryman and we have got probably the weakest team in the Ryman but the mangement and the team have got something that no other club has in the league and thats a fan base with a massive amount of admiration and respect . If the team the managers and the fans can unite and make a point to the rest of the Ryman we can all make this club the Forum and anything to do with the club happy again , we`ve got 5 weeks to prove Margate fc can compete with all around us all we have to do is be possitive about it all then there is a chance it could rub off onto others and so on thats it end of story , UP THE GATE , UP THE GATE , UP THE GATE .

Just out of interest, I saw this topic in latest posts and had a look, as the My Football Club organisation who own Ebbsfleet United have just upgraded their website and amended their policy - now no member can set a thread live, it can only be done by a moderator. They have already rejected a number of threads.

 

And by the way, the post above by hartsdownfan is a real passionate fan's post and a pleasure to read. Good on you Margate and good luck for the coming season.
