Pat - there has never - ever been any discussion either pre- or post- purchase of EUFC on MyFC with members claiming that the club could get to the Premiership. It was never soemthing that was an issue for anyone when looking to buy a club (including the 'operator'). During the entire discussion on MyFc about the takeover of MyFC I don't recall it ever being mentioned. There may have been an oddball or two who might have thought that - but out of 30,000 that would hardly be surprising.

Ya know when some things just bug ya....

Fleet average attendance 06-07 1,165

Fleet average attendance 07-08 1,087

Even using the games post-takeover as an average, the attendance HAS GONE DOWN...

Lies, Damned lies & statistics....

It would have been interesting to see what the average attendance would have been if MyFC hadn't purchased EUFC (and how EUFC would have finished the season).

Anyway - forget the numbers (they were tongue-in-cheek) the other post is far more important in this discussion.

Numbers would have been higher if more of the 30,000 had made the effort...

And no, don't forget them Dom - unless the club can INCREASE the gates, there can be no expectation of higher standard of football. The club need to put 500 on every gate, every home game to move onwards and upwards

Speaking of attendances had a Dartford fan mentioned over on Non League Football Live that they got a total home average of about 70 odd last season. Then he had the gall to call our ground Stonehenge. Needless to say I set him straight by putting a big old picture of the FA Trophy and asking if Dartford had ever won one of these^^ I felt much better after that and now I await his response.

No they haven't, but they got to a Final a long time before Ebbsfleet did!

Exactly cause I know full well how jealous they are of it^^ I am sure I am going to get a bit a lip back from them for that and as I also for good measure called their ground a glorified bus stop.

Oh and a believe they last made it to the finals(And the only time they made it) was in 1974. They have made it to the semi finals once or twice in the 80s but have not even got close to making it that far since.

Is it true that when it is pissing rain that the water runs off the back of the roof onto the people standing underneath?

I do not know about that but you can make a judgement for yourself here

Just go to grounds part and scroll down to Non League and Welsh grounds and you should find Dartford's ground on that list. Pretty good site aswell.

I read it here -

No doubt, any unforeseen design faults will become apparent with time: the gap between the perimeter wall and the roof for example, may well let the sunlight stream in during the summer

You have not missed much there was a conversation about attendances going on and I happen to mention that I had a Dartford fan gloating at me on another site(nonleaguefootballlive.com) that they got more on average at home than us last season(They got around about 70 more than us). He then just so happened to insult Stonebridge Road ans I retaliated by calling Princess Park a glorified bus stop. Then I went on and asked him if Dartford have ever one one of these

And that is about it.

If you had ever been to San Stonebridge Dom you wouldn't have typed that.

There are many many many things that we can, and should, take the piss out of the untermensch about but leaky rooves is not amongst them. :-(
