I just read in the NLP that Charlton are also sending a team to play Braintree on Saturday, the team will include new signing Stewart Fleetwood, the match is a testimonial. Of course we are playing Charlton on Saturday as well, I just hope they dont dismiss us again by sending a load of kids for us to brush aside. I know that Pardew has promised a strong side, hopefully he will keep this promise.

I reckon it be a split team for both games a mixture of academy and first teamers.

In last season's team Charlton barely managed any academy players so hope that this it is not the same on saturday

It would be nice if they sent down their entire 1st team for once, we are now a very strong side and sending reserves does us no favours, hopefully it will be mostly 1st teamers with a couple of reserves chucked in.

They arranged a testamonial with Aldershot on the same day as us last season, ended up sending the whole first team to that in order to raise more money.

I hesitate to put my neck on the block but I heard from a roundabout route, not an official source, that the reserve team was going to Braintree. So in theory we should be getting a pretty full 1st team. Well at least I'll know how accurate my source is for the future!
