A little bird has flown in and told me, that a certain striker from goatsgate, that is supposed to be on holiday at the moment has been training with Herne Bay, for the last fortnight and is about to be unvailed as their big signing of the new season. Now on hearing that and believe me its true.If he is a free agent then i suggest someone from this side of Thanet should get in touch with the said striker , because this kid is quality.

Stuart King would definetely be wasted in the Kent League. A striker who can score lots of goals. Be very suprised if ramsgate did let him go. But id guess looking at their squad of 22,some will leave. And some of those who do leave will probably be a lot better than players signed up by margate so far.

Margates squad as it satnds seems to be very lacking in experience. Having a few inexperienced but promising players can work as ramsgate proved..But having a side made up of mostly inexperienced players could end up with the Gate being more like Leyton than Ramsgate.

The problem is also that the 'experience' is not coming from players who have successfully competed at Ryman Premier level-the 'experience' is coming from Kent League players.

No problem with players stepping up from KentLeague to Ryman-or indeed young reserves to first team-thats what happens-many players step up 2/3 grades at a time-and successfullly.

It will not work though when you have 8/9 players all doing the same thing at the same time-maybe supplemented by Ryan Peters,SCS,and Coleman (who himself has also got to prove himself at this level yet )

It seems to me that BA and team have seriously underestimated the quality of the Ryman.I am not convinced that they have witnessed enough games

They can still retrieve it though by being master coaches/organisers/fitness guru's/ tacticians/planners.

If we have the fitest/best organised team, aware of the oppostions strengths we could still salvage a few good results-will they be enough to keep us up though

I wish them well.

I live in hope, though optimism- that 'it'll still be alright on the night' is starting to dwindle

Up the 'Gate
