That rules me out then as due at Tonbridge on 2nd Aug - Bitch would never forgive me if I didn't turn up grin

I think 5th Aug is when the Chicks are at Arundel. Was down there today and had a look at the pitch. Being worked on and coming on nicely for the season - looked like new seats in the stand too. One of my favourite grounds, really nice setting.

Took my boy to OD's U11's training today, new team maybe, less competitive. The pitches at boxhill are in great shape, lots of nice springy grass. Hopefully he'll carry on with his football.

Membership also includes use of the bar on Pixham lane, just round the corner from my gorgeous girlfriends, (sorry Gussy, I know you thought we had something special)

When Dennis and I used to cut the grass, the pitch was even stripey!!! Not very straight admittedly, but stripes nonetheless. Romour has it that a lot of time effort and money has been spent on the pitch this season, over seeding, vetrical sand drainage etc, etc. never quite worked out why it is left uncut all summer long though, when a cut does finally happen just the brown roots are left???

not enough about the mighty chicks on here lately.

How many coco div 1 sides have a Director of football and a director of coaching, and ex professionals on the management side?

how many coco div 1 sides have a football school with games lined up against professional/premiership clubs academies?

how many have a ryman standard ground and clubhouse within their town centre, with 120 years of history?

how many have a groundshare arrangement helping meet the running costs, and plenty of sponsors and advertisers?

How many are affiliated to a top class local youth football club with 3 or 400 players coming through the ranks?

How many have the chance to agree a lease to enable them to tap into the six figure funding available?

The futures bright, the future's green and white, forget budgets , you players, come and play for a side that needs your help to restore it to its former glories, promotion seasons or 30 pound a game? Come on down those Jurgs out there who feel a bit jaded, the jjs nearing the twilight of careers the young guns with ambition and passion for the game.

come on down the sweeney, its only a 20 min train ride to the home of football.

Its a new season, a fresh start, the chicks are hatching again!
