Whelpdale to right back?

Recommended Posts

Just what I thought Finni.

it would seem that Chris has leap frogged the highly rated Josh Low in peterborough's pecking order.

Unlike Tyler, Fry reports that Josh Low is the subject of plenty of interest but his high wages are predictably proving to be a stumbling block.

And Fry admits that Posh might have to consider allowing the former Cardiff, Northampton and Leicester man to leave on loan.

Fry added: "There is quite a bit of interest in Josh. A few different clubs have come in for him but his wages are a stumbling block for them.

"It could well be that as we get nearer to the start of the season there will be a lot of sides fighting it out to take him on a long-term loan.

"Josh has been unfortunate because Keith Alexander wanted to build a team around him, but other signings made since and the emergence of young lads like Chris Whelpdale has restricted his appearances.

"Obviously Josh (below) wants to be playing regularly and that is what someone with his experience should be doing, but any deal has to be right for Peterborough United."

Whelps is more than capable of filling in at full back in my opinion. One of the things that made him stand out for us was his ability to get up and down the wing, making contributions in attack and defence, and I certainly remember him making a number of goal saving tackles in the box whilst with us...
