I hear what you're saying...

Unfortunately from the club office, Rachel goes on holiday today, Greg is on holiday and that leaves Cheryl.

Another thing for me to look into on the operational side when I start. But a great contribution from a MyFC member volunteering his services for free, this sort of thing is where I hope we can really take advantage in the future!

I hope they push Fleet leisure Membership on the family day. It Would help out with running costs and cut the loses. Stating the obvious I know. If the club can attract more family groups to Fleet leisure, it could help out in the long term, with the lack of supporters at the ground.

A Couple of years back used to design, print (A3) and get posters distributed round the pubs. I used to send the posters round in poster tubes as this saved time.

Maybe this is something the Club could do themselves? Below is a list of 50 odd pubs that previously agreed to display them. Some of the Pubs may have changed name etc but most are still correct.

If the Club takes it upon themselves to distribute posters to the pubs experience tells me they *do* need to enclose a letter encouraging the pubs to display the posters. It would probably look better coming from the Chief Exec. Occassional Free Complimentary tickets for the pubs also helps them to display posters regularly.

At the end of the day its relatively cheap and free advertising. If you wanted to discuss this further then you can email me at ccaajmm@ucl.ac.uk. Cheers

Why? Fleet Leisure has nothing to do with the club.

Before The club took it over it was very successful it was also very popular. If you wanted a membership you had to be proposed. I heard that it changed when the Club took over and people left as they were not keen on the way the club was run. To build it back up and make a success of it again would benefit the club I would suggest.

...yep in the old days there was indeed a waiting list and it took years to get in assuming you could get proposed etc. However in those days it was a big concern and charged real (cheap) club prices hence why it was so popular. It also had the biggest Nov 5th fireworks for miles around at the time and used to have events every weekend in the hall. It was run by a "committee" I think as it associated with Bowater Scott for many years before all that got restructured.

I don't think those days will be seen again but it could certainly offer more than it does now if properly run and marketed I would think. It has a tired, dying on its a*** feel nowadays and I would expect that at best it only breaks even.

I think "we" actually lease it from the council now?

Would be a good idea if the club/Fleet Leisure promoted it as a venue to watch those televised away games during the week. Special beer prices till first goal etc might attract fans who can't get to far-flung grounds midweek.

HOWEVER - if they show HOME games on the telly, beer should be put UP so people go to ground instead!!
