For us story starved exiles-i assume its a case of 'nothing to report'

 

i guess i was hoping that we may have had news that the likes of Morris,Young,Corbishley had been re-signed

 

and better still

 

that a few quality players from outside the reserves had been signed up.

 

One lives in hope and expectation but the clock is ticking.

 

Still 5 weeks to go, but you really want them to be training and gelling as a team before the friendlies start

It says about our first traing session and how well it went Michael. BA says they are still looking as thousands out there but it must be the right characters and they are not going to sign players for the sake of signing them. He said they have made their interest know to players they want.

 

He also says him and Smith might be different to people they have worked with before they demand certain things and hard work is one of them.

 

Interestinly he says this next month is all about getting fitness levels up and not about winning. Also says training 3 nights per week now.

I like his style,and remain optimistic.

 

Would still like him to close a few deals for players though.

 

Am left wondering why the likes of Morris and corbs (he must be back by now? ) and ideally Young have not signed/or been asked to sign.

 

You start to fear that they are going to ply their trade at other clubs which would imo be an immense loss compared to a few others signed,and surely these guys will not be looking for a really big pay packet

Thought Wheatley may have been offered a contract aswell if we are going for talented younger players and he must surely have as much potential as most

I like it too Micheal. Those players might be the ones he is interested in but all might be checking their options first, who knows?

 

I do know Roberto has been to OZ, NZ etc I believe and was coming back this month.

Interesting re:Morris.

 

Assuming it is correct,obviously the club can only pay what they can afford-but it would seem a tradegy if he is 'lost' for what appears to be about

I really do hope Morris, Corbishley and Young all sign.

We need them to help bring all this young talent through. So long as they come on board we can then go from strngth to strength, with the same squad of players. Marching up the leagues. All getting stronger and more experienced as we progress, year on year.

Whilst i love to see a strong defence, most games are won or lost by whoever controls central midfield.

 

You can never have enough central midfield players (thats the main reason why Dover did so well last season-strength in central midfiled ) and Morris is as good as it is going to get-get him signed
