might be time to change solicitor as we are now into late October and when the clocks go back next week the night time becomes increasingly colder for camping out

Yesterday, whilst travelling home I decided to pop into the local to see what was going on. The pub was quiet so I decided to give my great friend Vinnie Jones a ring, unfortunately he is still in LA. I moved down further into the little black book and behold I found someone who I hadn

Wader - Hasn't Uncle Urchin discussed Edgware FC's groundshare for next season with you, I thought he might have done grin

Who said that they do, like I said Edgware FC have a number of irons in the fire for next season, Club's are actually knocking on our door rather than the other way round.

Ideally it would be preferable to be as near to Edgware as possible but it's not life or death, the old regime have already indicated that they're not interested in becoming involved in the new Club so we don't have to take their feelngs into account, not that we would anyway as they were responsible for the demise of Edgware Town leaving 500k of debt in their wake.

You can always change the name to suit the locality you actually end up playing in....oh, no, there'll already be someone called that!

Horace - Like Milton Keynes Dons you mean, anyway unless we groundshare with Kingsbury London Tigers or Kentish Town where else would there be to play in the immediate area.

Begs the question - why are you bothering at all?

I'm surprised by that question as I thought football was in your blood. Many people shed a tear when Edgware Town bit the dust so Gavin, Syd Lexic, Darter, Uncle Urchin and myself got together and decided to resurrect a new Club, bearing the Edgware name, from the ashes, it's as simple as that.

Since the MK Dons debacle don't the FA have rules in place to say that the name of the club has to reflect the area in which they play? Hence the change of name at Ruislip Manor and the caveat that Rotherham United can only use the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield for 2 seasons before they have to return back to Rotherham.

Unc - I echo that, I think I speak for us all, ie Syd Lexic, Darter, your good self and me, in that we are of the old school brought up on a diet of 60's and 70's football when people really cared and lived by the Shankly saying, I thought Horace was of the same ilk but apparently not.

yesterday I saw dorking play away at warlingham fc in combine counties 1

warlingham fc 1st xi are part of a very decent and successful sports club with many cricket and junior football sides, darts snooker etc etc huge clubhouse and grounds offering sports for youth , teenagers and grumpy old gits of the parish.(in croydon)

they have won their league in recent seasons but cant progress because of ground issues.

now if Edgware fc has folded for whatever reason why should another club be invented and groundshare and progress instead of perhaps natural progression allowing warlingham to move up and those above them?

100 seats and floodlights? with crowds of 30 - 80 at these levels? kick off at 1 or 2 ?

im puzzled. but 6 pints of stella and 3 bottles of blossom hill do that.

yes the old booze can cloud the mind jeff but no matter...we all do it at times...

firstly edgware fc is the new one...edgware town folded....as to why should they...well why not....people do do things and make things happen and there is never a reason why...they just do....can't see any harm in it myself...

if people want to start football clubs then let them...if existing clubs want to progress then let them....
